The Black American Music Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. BAMF provides programs, opportunities and initiatives to further transform the cultural relevance of our music into relevance for our community. Our Foundation is guided by the principles of “Sankofa,” taken from an African Proverb, (Sankofa symbol sits atop the crown on our logo) a word and symbol from the Akan tribe in Ghana which means “It is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind.”
